Why Rajasthan

India's Most Majestic State

Covering nearly 340,000 square kilometers of north-western India, the "Land of Kings" holds more UNESCO World Heritage Sites, more living royal palaces, more ancient step-wells, and more undisturbed desert wilderness than any other Indian state.

Our Rajasthan holiday packages are designed around one guiding principle: that you should leave Rajasthan feeling genuinely changed by it, not merely well-photographed in front of it. For over 10 years, Delight Tours India has been designing tour packages to Rajasthan for travelers from all over the world. Because Delhi is only 268 km from Jaipur, our Rajasthan tours from Delhi are extremely popular — reachable by air-conditioned taxi, express train, or an early 55-minute flight. By mid-morning you can be standing in Amber Fort with the ceiling of the Sheesh Mahal reflecting one lamp into a thousand stars.

Every Rajasthan tour we operate is 100% private and fully custom-designed. No group coach tours, no fixed-departure buses. Your dedicated licensed guide is assigned before departure and accompanies you throughout, and a draft itinerary is provided within 24 hours of contacting our travel consultants.

Our Packages

Featured Rajasthan Tour Packages

From classic 7-day circuits of the four great cities to grand multi-week journeys across the whole state, every Delight Tours India package is private, guided & fully customizable.

The Colour Cities

The Cities You Must See on a Rajasthan Tour

Our best Rajasthan tour packages are structured around anchor cities, each with a distinct personality and a distinct colour. Each one rewards an entire dedicated visit.

The Pink City

Jaipur

Rajasthan's capital and the inevitable gateway for any tour from Delhi. Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, Jaipur is a planned grid of rose-sandstone buildings and gem-studded bazaars. Its walled old city joined Amber Fort on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2019.

The Blue City

Jodhpur

Clustered in cobalt beneath the impossible silhouette of Mehrangarh Fort — arguably India's finest. Walk the upper ramparts, take in the rooftop cafés overlooking the blue city, and visit the marble Jaswant Thada cenotaph.

City of Lakes

Udaipur

Reflects its white marble palaces in the still waters of Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar. Boat rides to Jag Mandir Island, the 11-courtyard City Palace, and the Sajjangarh "Monsoon Palace" at sunset make it Rajasthan's most romantic city.

The Golden City

Jaisalmer

Rises from a sea of sand dunes as a living medieval fort. Explore the Jain temples and merchant havelis inside the Living Fort, then take a camel safari to the Sam Sand Dunes for sunset and an overnight desert camp.

Desert Citadel

Bikaner

Home to Junagarh Fort — the only major Rajasthan fort never captured in battle — plus the famous Karni Mata temple at Deshnok and a celebrated camel research farm on the edge of the Thar.

The Sacred Town

Pushkar

One of India's holiest towns, set around a sacred lake ringed by ghats and the rare Brahma Temple. The rose-scented bazaar and the internationally famous November Camel Fair draw travelers from across the world.

Bundi, Chittorgarh, Ranakpur, and the fresco villages of Shekhawati feature on our longer 10 & 14-day circuits.

When to Visit Rajasthan

Rajasthan has three distinct travel seasons, each suited to a different style of traveler.

October – February

The classic high season: 12°C to 25°C, cloudless blue skies, and every monument at its photogenic best. Ideal for heritage and palace tours, and for the famous Pushkar Camel Fair in November. Peak months (Nov–Jan) require advance booking.

March – May

The shoulder season, when temperatures climb from 30°C to as high as 48°C in the Thar Desert. Fort and palace visits are best done early morning (before 10 AM) and late afternoon (after 4 PM).

June – September

The monsoon brings modest rainfall, green Aravallis, and far fewer travelers. Prices fall significantly and queues virtually disappear — an excellent season for a budget Rajasthan tour with exceptional value.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about booking a Rajasthan tour package with Delight Tours India.

Ask Us Directly
Yes. We assign solo female travelers to particularly vetted guides and drivers with strong track records of professional conduct. All our vehicles are GPS-tracked and linked to our 24/7 operations desk, and we provide an emergency contact protocol at the start of every tour.
We offer three tour categories. The Budget tour uses clean, well-rated 3-star hotels with shared guide services for small groups — excellent value while maintaining a quality experience. The Comfort tour upgrades to 4-star and boutique heritage hotels with a private senior guide and heritage dining experiences. The Luxury tour places you in prestigious 5-star palace hotels and luxury heritage properties, with a private historian guide throughout, all meals and beverages included, and exclusive experiences such as private museum visits, royal dining, and spa sessions.
Yes — full customization is our standard. Every Rajasthan tour package can be adjusted for duration, route, accommodation grade, dietary requirements, activity preferences, and group size. Simply share your preferences with our travel consultants and we will propose a tailored itinerary with updated pricing within 24 hours.
Our Rajasthan tour for families packages are designed with children in mind: elephant rides, camel safaris, puppet shows, interactive fort exhibits, and wildlife safaris at Ranthambore are universally engaging. For elderly travelers, we schedule frequent breaks, select hotels with lifts and accessible rooms, and adjust the pace of sightseeing accordingly.
Our camel safari offers an unforgettable desert experience in the Sam Sand Dunes near Jaisalmer, scheduled for the late-afternoon golden hour. It includes a 1.5 to 2-hour camel ride with a trained handler and a safety briefing, photography assistance, spectacular sunset viewing, an overnight stay at a luxury desert camp, a traditional Rajasthani thali dinner, a bonfire evening, live folk music and dance, and breakfast the following morning.
The most popular start is a pre-dawn cab from Delhi, arriving in Jaipur for the morning session at Amber Fort. For longer circuits, many guests prefer an early IndiGo or Air India flight into Jaipur (55 minutes) and a return flight out of Udaipur or Jodhpur. The Shatabdi Express train from Delhi to Jaipur takes around four and a half hours. Whichever you choose, we handle all logistics — from airport transfers to hotel check-ins.
October through February is the classic high season with comfortable 12–25°C temperatures and clear skies — ideal for heritage and palace tours. March to May is hotter (up to 48°C in the desert), so sightseeing is best early morning and late afternoon. June to September is the monsoon, with fewer crowds and significantly lower prices — excellent value for budget travelers.
Our standard cancellation policy for all Rajasthan holiday packages is: free cancellation with a full refund if cancelled more than 30 days before departure; a 75% refund if cancelled 15 to 29 days before; a 50% refund if cancelled 7 to 14 days before; and no refund for cancellations within 7 days of departure.
