Fly or drive to Jaipur, where our representative receives you and assists with check-in. In the afternoon, begin gently with the still-occupied City Palace, home to the Jaipur royal family, followed by the UNESCO-listed Jantar Mantar observatory next door. In the evening, watch the five-story facade of Hawa Mahal glow rose-gold at dusk, then browse Johari Bazar for gemstone jewelry and block-print textiles.
The morning highlight is Amber Fort – ride the elephant ramp or take a jeep to the gate, then explore the Sheesh Mahal and Diwan-e-Aam. Drive into the Aravalli hills to Nahargarh Fort for sweeping views over the Pink City. The afternoon is yours to relax, or your guide can add Jaigarh Fort and/or a cooking class based on your preferred pace.
A scenic 340-km morning drive west to Jodhpur (approx. 5–6 hours) through rural Rajasthan and small Marwari villages. Arrive in time for a late-afternoon visit to Mehrangarh Fort, widely considered the finest surviving example of Rajput military architecture, and watch the blue-washed old city turn golden at sunset from the ramparts. Close the day with dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the fort.
Begin with the serene white-marble cenotaph of Jaswant Thada close to Mehrangarh. En route to Udaipur, stop at the Ranakpur Jain Temples, a 15th-century marvel of 1,444 individually carved marble pillars. Arrive in Udaipur and check in beside Lake Pichola, then take an evening stroll along Gangaur Ghat as the City of Lakes glows at its most romantic hour.
Visit the City Palace Udaipur, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, with eleven interconnected courtyards and a fine collection of miniature paintings. Take a short Lake Pichola boat ride, passing close to the Taj Lake Palace and Jag Mandir island, before transferring to Udaipur airport or railway station for your onward journey.

How much driving is involved? Jaipur to Jodhpur is about 340 km (5–6 hours) and Jodhpur to Udaipur about 250 km (4–5 hours, including the Ranakpur stop). Both legs use good highways with scenic stops along the way. For those who prefer to limit road time, daily flights connect Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur, and we are happy to build a fly-between-cities version of this package.
Best time of year: October through March offers the most comfortable conditions, with cool mornings for fort visits and clear skies for Udaipur's lake views. April and May are hotter, though early starts and AC transport keep the tour manageable. The monsoon months (July–September) bring a quieter, greener Rajasthan and noticeably better hotel rates.
What to pack: Comfortable walking shoes matter most, since forts involve uneven stone steps. Modest clothing is appropriate for temple visits, particularly at Ranakpur. A light jacket is useful for winter mornings in Jodhpur and Udaipur. Sunscreen, a hat and a reusable water bottle are essential year-round.
